
‘Evolution of the Black Quarterback’ is a three-part Prime Video docuseries that follows retired NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick as he travels across America to explore the history and impact of Black quarterbacks on and off the field. The original series pays homage to the rich history, celebrates the progress, and sets its sights on the future of the QB position.

















Archival imagery is central to the film’s visual language. An After Effects toolkit was developed to equip the production team with a range of dynamic layouts, incorporating metadata, labels, and other compositional elements to contextualize the material and enhance storytelling.



An alternate title treatment leans into handmade, expressive marks rendered in a bold black-and-white scheme. The aesthetic draws on the visual language of activist movements, adding urgency and a raw, human edge.
