TNT College Sports

Turner Sports holds the media rights to a wide swath of college sports, including Big 12 and Mountain West football and Big 12 and Big East basketball. TNT Sports needed a broadcast packaging system that could connect football and basketball under one visual identity, while letting each sport keep its own character. The brief called for a bold, fan-centric look grounded in the energy and texture of college sports: contemporary and fast-paced, but credible, and distinct from other sports broadcast packages.

Design System

The Arena became the system's core device: a form that captures the energy and atmosphere of college sports, the pulse of the crowd, and the focus of the game itself, surrounding the action the way a stadium surrounds its fans. Paired with the TNT logo, the Arena builds a design and typographic architecture that carries across every insert: score bugs, lower thirds, comparison graphics, and title cards. Layouts were developed to work as standalone on-screen elements and as part of integrated 3D scenes, creating one cohesive environment across every broadcast.

Team Brand Architecture

A modular library of team and player graphics flex across the broadcast: full-screen moments, large-format inserts, and compact lower-third treatments. Typography, color, and the Arena device scale consistently across every size, so everything reads as part of one identity rather than separate designs. The same assets extend directly into the 3D arena environments, carrying the graphic language from flat screen space into the dimensional set.
